People, organizations, and governments around the world, and people and organizations in the United States, need to stand up at long last and nonviolently resist the lawless behavior of the rogue U.S. government.

The recent U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear agreement with Iran is not an aberration. It parallels the U.S. withdrawal from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty and numerous other disarmament agreements, the U.S. opposition to the International Criminal Court, its record-setting use of the veto in the United Nations Security Council, and its unique status outside the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Paris Climate Agreement (which it withdrew from) and other fundamental treaties. Of the United Nations' 18 major human rights treaties, the United States is party to 5, fewer than any other nation on earth, except Bhutan (4), and tied with Malaysia, Myanmar, and South Sudan, a country torn by warfare since its creation in 2011.

There is a reason that most countries polled in December 2013 by Gallup called the United States the greatest threat to peace in the world, and why Pew found that viewpoint increased in 2017. Since World War II, the United States military has killed or helped kill some 20 million people, overthrown at least 36 governments, interfered in at least 84 foreign elections, attempted to assassinate over 50 foreign leaders, and dropped bombs on people in over 30 countries.

In military spending (over $1,200 billion per year) and weapons dealing, the U.S. government has no peer. Only 19 other nations on earth spend more than $10 billion per year. Seventeen of them are U.S. allies and weapons customers.

The U.S. government is directly responsible for policies that make the United States, by various measures, the worst destroyer of the world's natural environment.

See, that's just it... The United States doesn't give a rat's ass about your definition of "rule of law", or Russia's, or China's, or the UN's, or anyone's.

So...what do you do when you can't be a government with rationale, referendum, protest, or sanction? You beat them by sword, bullet, missile, fist, rock, or any other violent way possible.

Not that I don't consider a violent revolution a potential reality but quoting one of the founding Fathers of the greatest warmongering nation on earth is perhaps not a good reference point. Oddly, it seems like more of the same attitude that makes for "exceptional" beliefs. It also automatically excludes a large non violent support base.

Truth is, the US Government is probably quite prepared for that possibility which is a good reason not to fight their game on their ground.

One doesn't hear much about the building BDS movement against the Israeli Government thanks mainly to the Corporate Media shield. Israel's constant and effective lobbying of various Governments in attempts to associate the movement with religious or racial overtones are nothing less than an attempt to breed fear of reprisal for simply objecting to the Israeli Government's incomprehensible actions towards the Palestinians. Which is nothing less than genocide for land. I.E. Greed. But even with massive lobbying efforts and Media control the movement is obviously taking it's toll causing special departments to be formed and millions of dollars being allocated to combat it's effects. Even Twitter storms about celebrities taking a stand against the issue helps to divert their confidence.

In a odd coincidence, I recently wrote to the Israeli BDS Movement asking why they don't include the USA in their actions as not only is the US Government complicit in the defense of these reprehensible actions, their inclusion would perhaps defeat the current religious/racial defense consistently offered up by the Israeli Government. That notice of this (separate) BDS Movement against the US fell into my inbox a few days later I'm sure is coincidence but it helps to explain my Heading for this post.

Local Movements like BDS and those towards State Governments lobbying for the right to choose where one's tax dollars are allocated might be even more effective and likely a lot less bloody than an all out revolution. The teeth of the beast comes from unlimited spending ability and it's uncontrolled flow towards the arms makers. With over 40 states producing weapons literally 24/7 the US is without doubt a war-making machine and it's true power (and weakness) lies in it's unfettered funding capabilities. China, Iran, Russia, Venezuela know this and (with others) are, in structured ways, combating this unworldly power of money creation and public funding for making war. China's "One Belt-One Road" initiative, the "Petro Yuan's" inclusion in the SDR's, the building of (real) Gold Stockpiles by these Governments and even Crypto Currencies are all nibbling away at the Machine's funding. If one could add to those actions a grass routes movement to redirect their tax revenues elsewhere, the dog would have little bite and perhaps future senseless loss of life could be abated.

As the saying goes; "if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" then what can the world look like to a nation that spends all of it's time and resources... making hammers?

These are the results simply of a greedy Government out of control , and unfortunately the responsibility lies with those who have enabled it and it is in their power to change things. Movements like BDS are a good way to speak up. Pushing for Tax controls, forcing all Lobbying to be publicly transparent and even vetting for honesty for all public service candidates prior to elections or appointments would be other ways. I understand that absolute power corrupts but doesn't it make sense to at least start with honest candidates?

Before you "sigh off" on this, please remember another old saying: "You either have to be part of the solution, or you're going to be part of the problem". Do what you can, do it now!
My Grandchildren will be appreciative, and so will yours.
