I recently shared the following story in private and I thought others might like to hear it too. I'm sure we've all gotten into some crazy wam situations like this so feel free to share your stories below. Here's mine:
A few weeks ago I went mudding at a new spot. I had such a good time that the following week I made the long journey to indulge myself there once again.
Eager to get muddy, I jumped right into the mud and had an even better time than before. Everything was going great until it came time to clean up. I walked over to the pond I used last time and was mortified to find a mud pit in its place--the water had been drained out
Fortunately it was watery enough to clean up in but I left that pit feeling dirtier than before. Moral of the story: always check your clean up spot before getting muddy.
Once covered myself in fluff before I would start pieing myself. I had a mini panic attack when I realized that the fluff glued my eyes closed. I couldnt see at all and had to feel around for my pies which caused fluff to get places I didnt want it too! I was flying blind deep into a hot shower. Havent used fluff since.
lol - Kind of reminds me of a mud spot I have. I used to be able to go mudding, then walk across a small dirt berm lightly covered in trees and grass and jump in a river to clean up. Over the years that dirt berm has become more and more overgrown where it's almost impenetrable now.
I usually end up going in with a backpack containing a gallon of water, some soap and a small towel. Even covered head to toe in sticky clay mud, if I can at least start the cleaning process with some of the muddy near-by water, then soap up and final rinse with that gallon of clean water, the outcome is generally 'acceptable' - at least to get back home!
