There was a time when it seemed you couldn't open a British porn mag without encountering legions of women wearing stockings and suspender belts, with or without knickers underneath. However if released WAM scenes are any guide they seems to be something that have largely faded out or modern erotica.

Now they're not something I've ever been into, they don't really go with my tastes for jeans, jumpsuits, and tight sportswear, though we have shot with them on occasion - Sister Graves wears them under her smart skirt in Office Formal Messy Fun, though you only really see the clips to her stockings, and only briefly - but I've always been curious how other people thought of them. Horrible hideous contraptions that should be consigned to the dustbin of sexual history, or really sexy lingerie items that enhance desire and magnify arousal? Or something else entirely? Are there any practical reasons for, or against, their use in a WAM scene?

For me it's kinda synonymous with Splosh magazine, stockings, sussies and hair up in a bun, phwoar!!!

For me, suggestive, revealing "decorative" strappy lingerie is the sexiest thing a woman can wear for a WAM scene.

Women in undies is something really humiliating for me... Even more than nudity.

Everyone's different. I prefer tights (or 'pantyhose' for those over the pond) and there are a lot of us out here - you can fill tights and watch the gloop stay in 'the right place' and bulge before it gradually leaks out - can't do that with stockings! (They also feel fantastic as all the gloop descends into the legs when you're wearing several pairs of them!)

So long as they covered with lovely deluge of mess, stocking and suspenders, or tights / hose that's all that matters.
They both can be filled, messed, ripped or cut, so it really is a win win

Yeah, garter belt, stockings and high heels are a kind of trinity for me. I came of age in the '80s, and they similarly seemed to be somewhat more prevalent in US porn back then than they appear to be now.

I'll be honest, I was originally, some years ago, in the "kill it with fire" camp, but I've mellowed and while they're still not my personal preference - to me the sexiest thing a woman can wear to get gunged in is a reasonably tight fitting boilersuit and wellies - I can understand and respect that lots of people do like them. Fascinating to read everyone's comments, though would also be interested to hear from those who aren't fans too? Everyone's tastes are different so all should be respected.

Curious, differences in taste. Boiler suits and wellies I think are just about the most unsexy things imaginable.

I wonder if your poll result was biased towards a - possibly - 'vocal minority' of respondents by the title you chose?

Personally love them, when worn properly,and especially if the woman knows the effect it can have, however, I prefer them to be hidden forbade while, under a dress, skirt, trousers etc, as the anticipation of if they are wearing them is a big part of it, I would far rather see a girl next door wearing a dress with hosiery than the worlds most beautiful woman fully naked. Stand by for too much much information...The main thing I love about quality stockings is the tactile aspect, stroking and touching them on a woman, because I have no interest in being touched sexually, I like to have them to stroke and touch whilst doing the other things the wearer likes me to do.
I guess another part is that is considered a bit racy, but nowadays you are more likely to see only celebrities wearing them below their dresses, to add shock value, personally find that a bit boring..(oh look, Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift need to move their career on to look edgy, so they have got stockings on..)
When I was growing up, sheer stockings were common, on Police, Nurses, Bank workers, even our local sixth form, but now it's very rare, it's usually bare legs or thick opaque tights, which I fully understand, I'm not saying they should cater to my fetish
Why wear something that takes a while to put on when you can wear bear legs?
And I'm sure it's far easier and cheaper to produce a fetish video for someone who is into feet than specific clothing, and just googling a female celebrity is usually followed by husband or feet in the auto fill, so more profitable probably.

As a Gen-Xer I should be of the cohort that likes 'feminine' stuff but from a very young age I rebelled hard against sexism. I've always had an almost fanatical belief in fairness, that anyone, regardless of gender, skin colour, sexuality, or any other natural variation, should have the same opportunities and access to society. Sexism was what I became aware of first, while still in primary school, and the idea that girls were told they couldn't be engineers or soldiers just because they were female made me want to start setting fire-breathing dragons on people. I was into sci-fi, often with female main characters, from a young age and in my teens discovered the then-exploding genre of feminist sword and sorcery. So my personal idea of "the ideal woman" is somewhere between Sarah Connor in Terminator 2 - army boots, high waist black combat trousers, tank top, and a massive gun she totally knows how to use - and the various totally capable, competent, and deadly, swordswomen who's stories I read while growing up.

Because of that, I mentally connected lots of stuff traditionally seen as "sexy", like high heels, lingerie, etc, with the subjegation and repression of women. And I did have something of a tendency to see absolutely evething in terms of absolute black and white, rather than the shades of grey that are the reality of life.

In the ensuing 40-odd years I've learned a much wider and more nuanced worldview. But whether because of the way I grew up, or just natural personal taste, I still find "practical" outfits, as long as they fit well, more appealing to me personally.


While I prefer wellies or chunky boots, with the right outfit sports socks and trainers can look awesome, lasty year we bought several of the dresses in the attached image, and got football socks to match, though in the mud scene done so far Isabeau was wearring black and white converse-style trainers rather than Adidas ones. I've always liked converse-style rubber and canvas trainers, because they can be worn straight into the water (or mess) and washed out again afterwards. Ties in with my taste for people wearing swimwear, instead of normal underwear, under their clothes, as making a statement "I'm going to get wet and I'm embracing that."

I guess from a fetish perspective, if I see a woman wearing say a tracksuit or boilersuit over a swimsuit, and with converse boots, I get an "I'm ready for a messing, are you?" vibe back, the same way that to someone with more mainstream tastes, a flash of a garter or suspender might signal "I'm ready for sexytimes, are you?"


Tastes, and especially fetish tastes, really are very specific to each individual. I've seen your posts about dressing people in slightly too small blouses and skirts - to me that'd be a turn off, as while these days I like skirts and blouses, especially smart uniformy ones, I'd want them to be the right size - occasionally our people have worn things that are too small and I've said to change and go up a size before we start shooting. But it is all individual taste, neither of us is right or wrong. In my case, I like the way overalls or boilersuits, as long as they fit well, show a woman's figure. And there's the "suberting expectations" thing, which Cinq has mentioned in some of her posts too - wellies and overalls are meant to keep you clean, so deliberately filling them and covering them with mess is kind of defeating that. It's an alternative take on the idea Trouso mentiones upthread about liking smart things that you'd usually keep well away from anything messy. Overalls (or rainwear) are really meant to protect from splashes, literally bathing in mess in them isn't usually meant to be part of the deal.


I guess so, but we've had over a hundred votes in favour and those can't be faked, so by UMD poll standards that does represent a significant group. Am now thinking we might actually do a scene with stockings and suspenders under clothes - perhaps a St Trinnians style one - and see how well it does when released.

Well from my POV the dress is just a bit too short, plus as far as this thread is concerned, those are hold-ups, not suspender stockings.

The problem with the dress being that short to me is there's not enough material to get properly messy - something more like a St Trinnians 6th form uniform, which is still very short but the gymslip will just about cover the tops of the stockings when the wearer is standing straight, would work better, because there's still enough material to form a recognisable skirt - and thus be a legitimate target for thrown pies or mess.
