Hello all! I have found on Youtube a scene from a Brazilian film called 'Os Farofeiros' where a blonde female actress called Danielle Winits gets pushed into a deep pool of dark green gunge!!!
I can't give a link here because it has children in it but go onto Youtube and put in the search: Os Farofeiros slime pool
Great find - it's rare to see a woman get gunged that completely in a mainstream film - although I wish I knew what was going on, as the context is strange.
The slapstick pratfall is obvious enough (and I assume she's just been caked in the face as well), but all the mainstream gungings I've ever seen are either for laughs or as a deserved comeuppance, such as Glenn Close at the end of both "Dalmatians" films.
However, neither of those things is happening here. The observers all seem horrified, to the point where a few are even frightened and crossing themselves. Indeed, is her jerky exit from the pool meant to reference the ghost in "The Ring"? Anyway, the crowd being freaked out might work if it then segued into sympathy for her humiliation, but that's not what happens. Nope, they are just freaked out by her.
I've never really bothered watching the various YT clips of messy South American gameshows, so is there a cultural nuance I'm missing? Do they treat gunge differently from how we do in the UK/Europe/US? Very odd.

I think she was retrieving a kids doll from the gunge pool for a kid and then accidentally knocked into it. According to IMDB 'Things go from bad to worse when four co-workers decide to enjoy the extended holiday at a beach house with their families.'
But I love how she goes full body under and completely covered in the stuff. Like Glenn Close and the molasses scene from 101 Dalmatians. It is so rare to find scenes like this but Fantastic to find.
I checked the whole movie out.... It's some sort of facial cream? So nothing messy. It looks odd in the previous scene though, to the point that I assumed I'd missed a caking or something, but no dice.
The language barrier doesn't help with the confusion either.
