Why does no one ever post descriptions to these links, and them never post them to the vid forum? I honestly don't understand. Any of these links could be to gonzo jerking off, which would be fine, but I'm pretty sure we create forums for the ability to determine what we are cllicking.
I think he means the "Video Archive" https://umd.net/vidarchive . When a post is submitted here in the Messy Forum, the system plucks out any YouTube links in it and uses them to create embedded videos in that archive. From what I can tell, if a video is already in there the system won't put it there again. Thus, the links in the 5th and 7th posts were ignored. Reposts can be avoided by using the search box at the top of each page and searching on the YouTube vid's ID -- that's the letter/number code that comes after the "watch?v=" part and before any "&list=" part as depicted below (from another thread). Here is the resulting search on the vid ID in that 7th post https://umd.net/forums/search_submitted/1/search_type/forum/keywords/INjwBEGZ4fA
And yes, descriptions would be very helpful Still, I generally get an idea of what one is getting from the thumb in that archive, and if it hasn't ended up there then I've probably already seen it.
You know that part in Star Trek VI, where Kirk and Bones are getting acclimated to the penal colony on Rura Penthe, and they get in a fight... Kirk kicks the 10-foot tall alien in the knee, says to David Bowie's wife "Respect?! I was lucky that thing had knees!" And David Bowie's wife replies, "That was not his knee, captain. Not everyone keeps their genitals in the same place." I always think about that whenever I see Gonzo.
