Basically the long story short, I might have developed feelings for my lesbian friend. I'm fairly certain she is anyway and not bi. The thing is, I know I like her, but I don't know if it's in a brother/sister love or something else. Any examples I could give in the column of she feels the same way in a "maybe more than friends based on trust etc" are just circumstantial at best. Another friend thinks it's just my loneliness coming out and I agree, but there is a voice that just whispers "what if". She is a legit good person I just. I don't know how to square things in my head.

I would just let the feelings be. Don't try to suppress them but don't act on them either.

One thing you could do is try to date more, or make other female friends - that would probably help make your crush less intense.

Depending on how close you are, maybe talking to her about it would be cathartic. If she's kind and a good friend, she could reaffirm where she stands sexually, and where she stands with your relationship to each other. Preserving a good, solid friendship is important, especially as we get older. She might be able to help you work through it.

The first question is "What do you want?" I.e. what's the best case scenario here? Putting it bluntly, do you want to have sex with her?
* If you do, that answers your question about whether it's a brother/sister thing or actual attraction.
* If you don't, how would things be any different to the relationship you have now?

Bear in mind that even if she's bisexual, it's entirely possible that she won't be attracted to you. Would you be ok with that? I.e. would you be happy to continue your existing friendship?
