Putting a thread up to scope interest in a trip out to Lake Mead and scoping out some mud to play in.
If you're ever been here, have any knowledge etc. Please chime in with your wisdom. In 2018, my house makes rented a van and took a small entourage out on a whim. I don't think they found any mud, but it wasn't specifically planned.
I know where the mud is at Lake Mead and will be making a trip there to do mud this summer but not during the May 3 UMD event as the Spring runoff will cover some of the mudflats and the weather can be guaranteed to be warm that time of year...
Knowing where the mud is not the problem, rather it is getting to the mud as the only mud you can walk to in the Las Vegas Bay area has shell, grit, and sand in it. The good mud requires a boat of some kind and/or travel off road. I have the gear needed to do the mud...
I am also going to visit the mudflats on Lake Powell which are even better this year...
If you want to coordinate on a trip, please message me...
