I've recently gone vegan. Are there any other vegans here that could help me find ethical messes?

I was thinking cake frosting: it's mostly sugar.

I know there is vegan marshmallow fluff out there.

I'm a confirmed meat eater but I've shot with vegan models before and we always made sure that what we used was vegan.

Obviously mud is vegan, and also avoids any ethical worries over food waste. It's possible to do indoor mud by either collecting some from an outdoor location or buying modelling clay from craft shops.

Other things we used:

* Tomato soup (check no dairy products - "cream of" generally not valid)
* Baked beans
* Golden syrup
* Black treacle

Applesauce! Its cheap, and you can find it in huge containers. It has a wonderful feel to it.

Also, oatmeal (made without the dairy), methylcellulose, some cake icings and frostings, spaghetti, vegetarian baked beans (the can will be labeled)

I'm not a vegan myself, but some that come to mind that haven't been mentioned include soy milk, hummus, and of course mud.

Something I've always loved was eggs. It's not just the texture, it's the surprise that comes along with the crack and violence needed to crush them on my head.

Is there a vagan option for this experience?

Not really, since there isn't anything vegan that comes in an easy to crack to shell.

Your best bet is probably filling a water balloon (depending on your lifestyle as some synthetic materials use animal products during the vulcanisation process) with an appropriate substance and bursting that over you.
