Just a thought: when I, as a German/European, see Messygirl's "human garbage disposal" videos and the reactions of some of the models, I wonder how people in the US can actually eat the substances used there. A quick internet search only scratches the surface, but it's very telling: "Many food products are not allowed to be imported from the US to Germany because they do not meet the strict EU safety standards for the protection of human health." At least the models only get "smeared," but millions of Americans eat the stuff.
I don't mean to offend anyone here, but don't Americans think about their food?
For one, I think things are a bit overblown about all that. Like I'm not finding bits of wings in my Folgers when I make a pot of coffee in the morning. Stuff definitely is more processed, but not to the point where we're having to eat radioactive sludge.
There's also grocery stores that, if you're willing to spend the extra cash, have food that's healthier and subject to heavier scrutinization like Whole Foods or places like farmer's markets.
