Just got out of the shower....... I was at the local grocery store and the lady in front of me left her 1+ gallon jug of laundry soap. She is walking away towards the door at the other end of the check-out counters. So I yell out too her and threw the bottle up over my head so she can see what I am yelling about.
Stupid lid wasn't twisted on and the force throws the lid off........ Glug, glug, glug about half of it comes pouring out before I realize what just happened. Get it all down my shirt, some on the left side of my head & hair. Thankfully not in my face cause I bet that shit would BURN. I'm now standing there in the front of the store (about 10-12 people standing around) and I am dripping with soap...... running down my shirt, dripping out of my hair.
Lady comes over in shock, chucking and apologizing at the same time. I laugh it off with her and tell her its no problem, make some comment about needing my monthly hair washing anyways and give her the soap. Then walk back to the cashier (Still dripping) and wait for my groceries to scan and pay for them. The entire time you can hear people trying to stifle chuckles while trying to be reassuring.
Sometime in them middle of scanning my groceries the manager has run over with napkins and is all apologetic. Offers to pay for my groceries, wants to talk to me. Standing there, after paying for groceries, for what feels like five minutes while this guy is trying to make it all better...... people keep walking by and giving me this weird look like, what was this guy upto? Finally I look up at him and say, "Sir I am covered in soap, people are staring, and I really don't care because it was an accident. Can I please just go and get cleaned up."
Normally, this would be my fantasy...... getting slopped in public in front of people, people laughing and staring at me. But at this moment I am just annoyed (and yes amused/aroused).
I leave thinking to myself, dammit now I have to drive home smelling like concentrated "sunshine & lavender" plus take an extra shower for the day.
