My first photos I posted on here were poor. The tie ended up with some paint on it and ripped, but the shirt remained relatively unscathed. People have asked me "when will you be doing the shirt?".
Well the reason it survived that session is because it was at one time m favourite shirt I wore to the office. The one that fits really well and looks good. The one you choose when you want to feel and look your best when you want your game face on. So, in that first session, despite it now being a very old shirt and having been downgraded from office wear to decorating / fix the car wear, I wasn't ready to say goodbye to my old favourite.
Well, a recent wardrobe change from winter to summer has downgraded a load of shirts, so it is now time for the old favourite to go. Ripping it up to use as car cleaning rags is a waste, so I decided to hold a special session in which it would meet its messy end.
I asked a good friend on here, you know who you are, what he would recommend and he suggested I use syrup on my special shirt, which I immediately knew was the right thing. Then last night checkshirtmatt posted an excellent set of photos which cemented that view.
So, on Tuesday, in a solo session in an anonymous hotel room, my special shirt will suffer its fete and will be subjected a bottle of syrup with special attention to the white collar, followed by ripping to shreds which will decommission it forever. And now, I AM looking forward to it.
Well the deed has been well and truly done. The shirt is no longer fit for office wear, decorating wear or car rags. Very pleased with the result though I won't be using black treacle again, what a ball-ache to get off.
I'll post the images when I get onto my main PC, but it has something for everyone. A tidy good looking shirt with a big boy underneath, lots of shots of it getting messed up with goop, some wet ones after which I did wonder if I should try and save it for another time and finally it well and truly shredded and in bits on the floor.
My shreddies were also shredded and there's a couple of those in it too.
Thanks to P for getting me worked up so I had to do something and for the suggestion of the syrup. Hope you like the pictures x
