Over the last 2 days i've been having some "issues" with the UMD site that i'm unable to explain as it's not happening on ANY other site i visit (including a few dodgy sites that are hosted in France with their appalling internet services):
* I am frequently being logged out. I've tried different browsers on different machines and get the same result. Tonight it has been very bad and i've been kicked out almost every time i click a button or link.
* The loading time of the pages in UMD site is incredibly slow compared to how it was a few months ago when pages loaded very fast. I have tried the UMD site from many different locations in the UK, 2 different locations in Poland and 2 different locations in the US (somewhere in Florida and a business in Boston). And surprisingly the quickest connection was from Poland at just 158ms. (my average latency is around 20ms on a 80Mbps leased line and 30-35ms on ADSL)
* Customising my store is generating some weird results, as in i spent an hour tweaking settings and changing colours, saved it as a template, all going well... Then i lose the settings and have nearly a dozen different template options to chose from - none of which contain my new settings
Is anyone else having issues like this or perhaps MessMaster could comment on if he has been making changes to the site recently which could've resulted in these problems?
I've been having a similar experience, though not with the speed problems you've mentioned.
For the last couple of days, when I log on and it takes me to my profile page, the 1st thing I try to do causes a screen that says, "You were logged out. Please log in." or something similar. When I then put in my name and password and hit "enter" like I normally do, a little "eye" shaped thing comes up on the password line and nothing happens. When I then click on "log in" it works, and I'm fine then. This happens whether I try to go to my inbox or notifications, or try to go to a forum.
For a couple of weeks now I'm also being logged out on an at least daily basis, sometimes several times a day, and recently page loading speeds are awful.
