Someone told Andrea that now was one of the best times of year to see wildfowl on the estuarine mudflats near to home, so off she headed to find out for herself. It's true! Canadian Geese, Mute Swans, Oyster Catchers and Little Egrets to name but a few.
Wearing her jodhpurs, riding boots and full chaps she slops through the mud and splashes in the streams. Of course mid-calf deep is never enough and she's soon mid-thigh deep, then mid-buttock and then midriff.
The mud is really slippery and this gives her an idea--since she already soaked, why not make some mud slides! What great fun! "I dare you to go down headfirst."..
