I just found a TV episode where the villain (played by Josh Fingerhut) falls into vat filled with red paint. He emerges completely coated in the stuff. The part I'm talking about begins at 19:27 in the link I posted below.

I've been compiling a list of movie/tv scenes where guys gets messy and I was wondering if anyone knew of another scene where the guy gets submerged completely into a vat/tub/trough of mess. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've also posted images from other scenes I've found involving submersion in a vat. These include:

In the 80s there was a really terrible episode of Star Trek TNG where one of the characters is sucked into a vat of black slime, and then "spat out". Had gunge fantasies since I was a kid after watching that... always a dream to recreate it.

One I've been hunting - it's a British comedy with Vanessa Redgrave (!) involving the young male heir (I believe) to a chocolate factory. He gets into a fight with another guy and ends up in a vat of chocolate. Cut to a new scene with him walking down into a room (possibly a board meeting?) covered head to toe in chocolate. Sound familiar?

Tony A, the movie you are looking for is Consuming Passions (1988) where Tyler Butterworth gets coated completely in chocolate. Incredible mess scene!

Jump to 1:32:55 to see him fall in. The scene immediately following it has him walk into the room covered head to toe in chocolate just like you remembered.

Yeah, I've been trying to find a link of the Theo Von scene for years. The Reality Bites Back episode was available for purchase on iTunes in Canada last time I checked but unfortunately I don't live there so I'm not able to purchase it.

I have a video with the Mad Max III scene. I don't like the man gunged, but the scene is very good.
I would love to see the same scene with other actors or famous: James and/or Dave Franco, cameron dallas, Cristiano Ronaldo, some spanish famous...

I dug up three TV scenes from my list where guys are submerged in mud baths!

1. Patrick Duffy sloshes around in a mud bath at a spa in the Step by Step episode, "The Wall". (Can't find a link. Sorry)

2. Brendan Meyer gets pulled face-first into a kitty pool filled with mud in the Mr. Young episode, "Mr. Elephant". (1:25 in the video)

Great mud scene with Andrew Stevens in The Ranch. Not sure what year, but I'd guess sometime in the '80's.

I've been searching for The Ranch on the internet for probably a decade now and can't find it ANYWHERE no doubt because it's a low-budget movie that's only available on VHS. I'd kill to see the scene of Andrew Stevens covered in mud but don't expect it anytime soon.

That Leave It To Beaver scene does it for me. The guy that gets pushed into the giant tub of fudge is one lucky bastard.

There was a good scene with Robert Hays in the movie Take This Job And Shove It, but I've never been able to find the clip online.

5. Kevin Pereira plunging into a pool filled with chocolate pudding and cream on an episode of Attack of the Show.
6. Tom Hanks falling face-first into a bed of wet plaster in the 1986 film, The Money Pit.

In both movies about the Amytiville house ("Amytiville Horror" 1979, and the remake from 2005) there are a messy scene. 1979: James Brolin (1979) falls into a pit of blood; and Ryan Reynolds (2005) falls into the mud.

Donny Osmond was pied and caked repetly on tv, and he was throwed into a gigant pie (7:01min).
