This may be a long shot but does anyone here remember Messymercedes mud shoots from a looong time ago? I've been trying to locate where these videos were shot or a place similar to try getting muddy for the first time, i was wandering if anyone would know where this spot is or something similar and be willing to share the location with me either here or in a private message.

They were in Barling, Essex.
But they have now dried up from what I've heard.
Are you sure? It is an estuary, so it should always be there.

From what I was told by Mercedes & Chantelle's original cameraman Dirty Dids.
That part has now dried up.
Unless someone wants to go there and check it out themselves??
I can offer 2 other locations, but they are a bit far from there. They are in Germany. Exactly at the quarry (Kieswerk") in Bstel". A real MUDlake ca. 50m diameter 1.30m+ deep, with creamy lightbrown mud. And in the nature preservation area at Speicherbecken" between Lingen and Meppen. With beautiful black creamy mud. Not very deep - only 40-70cm - but on a VERY LARGE area.

I gather the clay-pits that Chantelle and Mercedes used were gravel-quary tailing ponds, rather than natural estuary mud - so very like the mud pits Messy Fun used in Texas back in the 90s. The Thames estuary mud will still be there but is much darker, almost black. For that, look for the area around "Foulness Island" on the East Coast of Essex, the area is famous for mud of all kinds.

I may be out that way in a couple of weeks, I'm pretty sure I've managed to locate the field with the help of your location. I will report back on what i find
Hi all, I have been there myself and the quarry is no longer used so there is no clay. There is the mud flats though. It is easy to find if you are interested to see. There is a church on a gravel road if I remember correctly, you can park there and then walk to the coast line about 5 minutes. You should be able to work it out from there. All saints church, Barling.
