I'll be filming a scene soon that includes a bucket of oatmeal plunked and stuck over my head. I have never used oatmeal, and I want it to ooze down over my bare upper body with the bucket still over my head. Should I add anything to the mix besides instant oatmeal and water?
Mix quick cook oats (canister) with water and microwave it. Use less water than you think. It will be very thick, almost to the point where it can't be poured. Thin it out with more water or, for a slimier mixture, combine 1 box white/vanilla cake mix with ~2 cups water and then add the cake mix to the oatmeal.
Oatmeal is my preferred gunge. Oatmeal + cake mix is how I made the slime in these pics. Each had a different consistency. Have fun! Can't wait to see it, stud!
Thanks for that, PieMeDCCT. I'm taking notes as well.
So far, all I've done for foodless slime has been 1 can of shaving cream and two 32 Oz. Conditioner. I empty the shaving cream into a pail, then mix in only 1/2 of water to have enough to stir around the cream to start thinning it a little. Then i empty one conditioner bottle and stir it in, followed by the second one. It comes out more foamy slime than more traditional slime, so I've been keeping an eye out for other recipes.
I've learned that you must use very very very hot boiling water if you want a good splatter- from there you need to let it cool. But warm/hot water makes the oatmeal very splattery. I've also cream of wheat to it as well. I don't know, but dye it green too?
