gunge has been a kink for me for years and i have introduced my partner to it and they enjoy it but the number one issue is that it gets really cold and that usually ends the session fairly quick so i'm wondering if people have tips for keeping the gunge as well as our bodies warm. i currently use a painters plastic sheet over the bed and make the gunge as warm as i can as well as have a space heater running in the room but it still gets cold after like 10-15 min. thinking of maybe getting a small inflatable pool or mat but i wanna keep it easy to clean up so idk. any advice would be great thanks yall !
I often have a few buckets of very hot gunge kept next to me, that after a while of playing I start dipping into to add more heat back into the mix, although you have to be very careful not to scold yourself. Nothing worse than killing the mood with 3rd degree burns!
Also, a full boiled kettle nearby, to top up the slime and reheat it, although it does thin out the mix a little
But ultimately, unless you're in a really really hot room, eventually you're gonna feel a little chilly, and for those who are more sensitive to temp, its gonna push them to end the session quickly unfortunately
Like others have said warm up your gunge,but. Be careful as it can hold the heat at its core for longer than you expect, check the temperature all the way through before you pour it. Next thing is insulation, we have some foam flooring tiles we put down first to stop the floor under our pool pulling the heat away. Next is room temperature, in our bathroom I'll shut the door for a few hours before we have a session and set the heating a bit higher to make the space a bit warmer making which makes the whole thing a bit better. Lastly and probably our bougiest thig is our bathroom itself. When we renovated our place we knew we'd be having gungey sessions in the bathroom so we made some subtle modifications to help improve that. First was electrical underfloor heating so that we could boost the floor temp during sessions second was double insulated underlay on the floor to provide a slight padding under the extra grippy lino to make it more comfortable if someone was sitting or laying on the floor. And also an additional bib tap under the sink so that a small hose can be attached for washing down the space and finally a bigger than standard bath plug and waste piping to help dispose of the gunge.
my advice is get baby pool i done few times for holly guneher view on instgram or x and mix gunge just before you start .. mix it very hot water so hot it tempter is nice when start... if use alot gunge it can stay warm for for time but if not add more water in pool and mix it in and add heat back in.
