Hello everyone! Hope you're doing well and an early Happy New Years!
I was curious about what everyone's favourite types of pies were, whether that be whipped cream, shaving cream, real pies (if so which ones), butter cream etc. Any favourite fillings or combinations of different creams and fillings?
Let me know because I'm very interested in what everyone prefers. I'm also looking for ideas and new things to try come my next session!
I am quite partial to the classic, cream and custard combination myself, what about yourselves?
For me i'm quite into just a plain and boring whipped cream but when done correctly it absolutely is hard to beat, along with the classic shaving foam pie also.
What can I say... I'm not the most adventurous when it comes to pies.
I'm an old Amateur Pies/Pie Fight Girls/Neil Edwards fan, so all of the pies I use tend to be like his:
1. baked frozen pie crust 2. some sort of pudding filling 3. topped with cool whip (usually with food coloring mixed in) 4. thrown with extreme accuracy (ideally)
Feel free to look at my profile for some pictures of examples.
Materials are reasonably cheap (foam and pie tins or paper plates), you can make huge pies, the mess piles up in a way that I really like, & it washes away easily with water and doesn't leave lingering smells!
I also go for the sensitive skin varieties or ones that contain aloe to combat any issues with it stinging or overly drying my skin.

Yeah, that's a fair. Stick to the classics and you can't go too wrong. To be fair I think it's quite hard to go wrong at all really

It's hard to beat for sure, for how cheap, easy and fun it is I'm not surprised why its one of the most popular choices and im sure it works for a heck of a lot of people indeed to put it lightly

Those definitely look very enticing and yummy.
I'm sure that the effect after being hit with one looked amazing and the feeling of the weight of it as it cascades all over, even better.

I see why it is such a popular choice. A lot of upsides with very little downsides, especially if you want a quick, fun pieing with an easy clean-up afterwards.
It's all about the feel and taste of a fruit pie with a thick layer of whipped topping on the top for me. That's my first place, followed by chocolate or merengue pie. While non-dairy whipped topping doesn't feel better than the other, it sure smells less later if it gets in your nose and ears.

I like decorated on top... So I need to see them before the impact...
I like filled with fruit... Blueberry specially... The contrast of colors is really nice...
And the base of it, marshmallow... The slow dripping is just lovely!!
I know they get a lot of hate on here, but one of my absolute favourite types of pie is just the classic 'shaving cream on paper plate' pie. If good quality shaving cream is used, and the pie is delivered with good technique then the coverage from them is incredible. I love the look, the texture and how easy it is for a model to be given a thorough pieing!
I also really like the more 'American' shaving cream pies where they're in a tin with a crust lining. Some of my favourite ever scenes use these pies as it's super easy to get fantastic coverage just by using a firm splat.
And finally, I also really like the traditional 'custard pies'. These were the type of pie typically seen on UK TV when I was growing up. They were usually whipped cream with a bit of custard on more of a 'flan' base. They always gave great coverage from a firm splat! I also just like the phrase 'custard pie'- very suggestive!
