I have another burning question I need to ask the group, it's messy but a bit different. I might just be being my usual weird self, but as I have found out there is nothing new under the sun! (apart from hydrogen atoms which haven't been spent yet )

For as long as I can remember being whispered to in the ear has been as much as a turn on as getting all messy (or even wearing stockings and heels!). Recently I discovered the jolly world of ASMR. Is it wrong to masterbate to ASMR? I gather that is NOT what it is for! But it gets me going every time, especially the very softly whispered stuff. The is only one obvious problem, do I want to climax listening to a teenage talking about her latest makeup aqusition or a woman role-playing being a dentist. There are actually some quite good suggestions here. I have also had a couple of messages about this which I am eagerly following up. Just to be clear this is just about sound. I don't want the voice artist getting messy whilst whispering, in fact it could be like a Podcast type thing. I don't want to see you, just hear your voice. Might suit someone who has a face for radio, as they say, although I jest as all the ladies here are all lovely!

So don't worry about having your equipment ruined! If you are female and have a sexy, whispered voice it might be a nice thing to do or even dare I mention, a saleable commodity. I think this is in the same vein but I think there needs to be more content that has women talking about "pie fights". I have, as I know some of you do as well, a strong kink where hearing a women say certain words absolutely triggers me (in a good way). Things like: "Pie Fight" "in my face" "Pied" "cream pie" to name a couple. It also is a distraction let's call it when they say, "cream" instead of "pie" and "I'm gonna get pie ON your face" instead of "Im gonna pie you IN the face".

Indeed a popular stage act for the aforementioned craft would be to 'talk' people to orgasm. Which may sound fanciful but there was also a lot of popular audio erotica for women awhile back which should come as no surprise to anyone who has ever tried tying up their partner (consensually) and then from behind whispered in her ear in such a way that your warm breath is on her neck and shoulder to tell her everything you're going to do and witnessed the results.

Anyway I hope my vague bollocking on might point you towards similar stuff that existed before ASMR was a thing (it depends how much you specifically seek the whispering and how much is about audio stimulation). Thanks for all your input! I guess there's a couple of things here from my point of view which I want out of it. First of this term ASMR. It's a new one and supposed to be seem pseudo-scientific woo about stimulating the brain by the use of noises and triggers. I am not looking to get reprogrammed or hypnotised into thinking I am a teapot every time someone claps their hands. My reasons are thus:

1. I have always liked listening to, soft-spoken female voices as far a I can remember. This might be a mother and bedtime story thing, but I'll spare the phycology.

2. When someone whispers in you ear it is a an incredibly intimate thing to do. I have always found this massive turn on.

3. Everyone likes pillow talk, but it would be fantastic to listen to a female voice telling you all about a messy encounter or fantasy from her point of view. I also agree with our correspondent from WA, above. The mention of phrases suggesting an action or even the saying certain words can be incredibly erotic. Adding 'please' and 'I want you to' to the phrase 'pie me' is irresistible!

Ideally I'd just like to bring this all together into something which in my book would be clearly very charged and sexy to listen to and enjoyed again and again!

One thing I have just remembered is that a certain pornographic magazine in the 1970s once issued a flexi-disk (remember those?) With the sound of a couple making love on. So someone must have sort of thought of this already. However, what a terrible, terrible idea, huh?

Anyway, discussing these things is an excellent way of sorting out in your mind exactly what you do want. Fair enough though to be clear the reprogramming comment is again complete misunderstanding of it and that by giving the example of using it with tantra to visualise moving pleasure throughout the body that it is much more like guided meditation directed for a specific purpose (for instance I used it to memorise my entire undergraduate degree for exams in under a week - first class to be clear) to try illustrate beyond that.

The point I was trying to make was that a lot of that relaxing softly spoken side of ASMR content was being done under that specific genre of content before such as you had been asking if stuff like that existed before ASMR content was a thing. For the spoken side of ASMR (so not the hair brush stuff) there was a lot of that whispered stuff being packaged under that genre pre-ASMR.

Good to know and apologies for misunderstanding your meaning. I think the overriding point is the old adage that 'there is nothing new under the sun'. I do try and avoid some of this latter day woo, but I find it helps to make popular references so that people can easily identify from where you are coming from.
