Hey folks! Our latest model Megan gets absolutely *wrecked* in her debut scenes for SlapstickStuff.... And now they're both edited. Scene 2 finds this (real life) mom auditioning to be "Karen," the World's Worst Mom.... And turns out her rude Facebook posts and casual bitchiness really backfire when the other moms are holding baked goods! Also, she goes full nude midway through.... Because this isn't Megan's first time on a casting couch.
This woman can truly take a pie (or cake) like nobody's business. She also got drenched in chocolate slime, despite being the only person alive who doesn't like chocolate! The things we do for art!
Killer! You weren't lying when you said Megan takes pies like a champ. Just sitting and smoldering. Whoo!
HappyCamper said: Also, you're almost at the 300 volume mark?Wow! You think you have another 300 in you?
I heard for the 300th volume, Rich booked Olivia Munn, who agreed to do a headfirst dive into a giant pie to make up for her previous pie failures. She was uncertain, BUT when Rich offered her triple-digits to get clobbered with pies and cakes, well, it was probably more than she made on royalty checks for X-Men Apocalypse, so she went for it.
All kidding aside, I do hope the volume 300 is something special, though with a milestone like that, it's special no matter what the video happens to be. Knowing how stuff gets kept in the hopper awhile, odds are, it's already shot.
HA! I know it's ridiculous to still be annoyed at a random female celeb Lucy-footballing a possible all-time mainstream WAM scene.... But yeah, still very annoyed at Olivia Munn. She did reach out about the 300th volume, offered to do it for lower than her usual rate. (So.... $80.) Had to turn her down on principle. Don't worry, Mulaney tells me he's built a giant pie in their basement and he's training with her, throwing her headfirst into the pie every night until she's ready to properly return to WAM.
But seriously.... SS300 will be pretty good. Maybe not "Female host on random gamer channel almost making WAM history" good, but I think folks will be excited to see who it is.
Also, thanks to all who bought the Megan clips. She's been a (very quiet) seller! And yes, I'm pushing to drop one final scene/volume before Christmas. Stay tuned!

Is 300 gonna be someone who hasn't been around in a while???

I am damn near certain it won't be worth the time you invest in editing, BUT, think of how epic it would be if vol 300 should had excessive amounts of slow motion and some really weird choices in terms of color palette. And also Gerard Butler is throwing the pies I guess?

Also what is your current profile pic from?
That seems like a safe assumption!
And the new profile pic may or may not be Lumen and her BFF about to start some mayhem in a scene that will hopefully be edited before Christmas. [fingers crossed] But if you need the unedited footage now, there might be a way to buy that already....

Also, watching all the SS trailers/scenes in order is like slowing walking through 2000s-era pop culture....
I mean, you do some music, right? I seem to remember a custom "How to Take a Pie" jingle for one of the early HD volumes (speaking of strolling through the last 20 years of pop culture...).
Anyway, my point is that the editing actually *is* relatively good, probably because you have a feel for editing rhythms based on your music knowledge, and the pie hits line up nicely with the musical cues. When I was making my own (not WAM) stuff in the late 00s, I could intuit how a clip should be edited given the rhythm of the music or scene, based on my musical background. I was pretty amateur-ish overall, but at least I was punching above my weight class in editing. I'd spend hours trimming a clip JUST right...
Hell, I remember your trailers going up on your website at the same time as folks making YouTube WAM music videos, which were just pie clips thrown over some Red Hot Chili Peppers or whatever, and nothing makes you appreciate editing more than seeing someone *not* make an effort to line up music with the action on the screen [/rant]
Early on, I was trying to "pivot" into more mainstream video editing work, but it never really took off. (The tall brunette from SS85 actually hired me to do a promo for her "company" that came and went pretty quick, that's how I got her to shoot...)
But yes, the feel for the rhythm and timing is crucial. What's ironic is that I mostly DON'T use that same timing in the scenes themselves.... Because if I cut the hits to create a propulsion, you'd see very little aftermath and the clip would be done in like 2 min! (So a 95% reduction...) Funny that a lot of us got into WAM via mainstream comedy, but actual WAM lingers on the aftermath so any comedic timing is mostly gone. (That's why I add dumb jokes and bits, just to keep a little of that...)
ANYWAY. Thanks for the support for Megan. And stay tuned for the bundle of joy that is Lumen in a fantastic new clip!
