So I don't really smoke the mary jane all that much - my preferred method is typically edibles. Lately I've gotten into making gummies. I don't know if I'm allowed to post links so out of caution I will presume not and say that the recipe I've been using is from an article called "How To Make Weed Gummies" on a site called "High There" - you can find it easily enough on your preferred search platform of choice - if the first picture you see is one of some coconut oil being melted in a glass container just above the header "Cannabis Coconut Oil" you're on the right page.
I basically did the recipe as stated in the article - infused 1/4th a cup of coconut oil with a quad of the happy flowers (after decarbing them in the oven for about 40 minutes at 240 degrees F) in a double boiler for 8 hours, then spent an hour or so actually making the stuff per the recipe's instructions. I also put in some flavoring oil. All in all I'm happy with the end product - they feel like gummies texture-wise, taste could use a little work, as I'm always trying to make them taste as authentic and pleasing to the pallette as possible, they popped out the molds with hard, crisp lines in the gummies (shaped like marijuana leaves because, marijuana leaves, DUUUHH!!! j/k) and the color isn't QUITE what I'd like.
So my question is, those of you who've gone before in making gummies, what tips do you have to help me tweak my gummies? I've heard citric acid can help. Thoughts?
Oh and in case anybody asks, weed is legal in the area I live in.
