If possible, can you please share the reason behind your preference?

There are good pie scenes with tins and bad pie scenes with tins. Same for scenes without tins. I voted for tins only because there is something a little extra humiliating about a tin that, for a short period of time, sticks to the face. Also, if the tin clangs a little when it is thrown at and hits the person, there is a little extra humiliation in that as well.
Otherwise do strong feelings as long as the pie quality is good and the hit is square.

Being from the UK we seem to just have one variety of pie crust/pie casing and in my experience they just seem seem to disintegrate when taken out of the tin before they hit their target! Luckily I do like the way they look upon impact with the tin still in place.
