For those of you who don’t know Room 101 is a comedy show where celebrities try and persuade the host to banish their pet hates to Room 101. Room 101 having been conceived by George Orwell in the book 1984 where anyone or anything taken to Room 101 was never seen again. Now if I ever ended up on this show they would have to make a feature length version as there are loads of things that annoy me. However I thought it might be fun to share some of my WAM related ones with you and for others to do the same.

Just to qualify these are just my personal opinions and intended to be light-hearted. I’m not having a go at anyone. If you’re going to reply with yours then please keep it in that vein, I don’t want this to turn into a stupid flame war. I’m also discounting general stuff that everyone is going to hate like trolls on the forum or people taking money for customs and not doing them.

So without further ado my candidates for WAM Room 101:

“I don’t know” – Yes I know what you’re thinking, You can’t do that on TV was a classic etc etc. That’s may be so but it’s been done so so many times by many producers quite frankly I’m bored. It also really doesn’t help if the girl’s first language isn’t English. She has no idea why she is supposed to be saying it, mispronounces it and gets the word order wrong. Come up with something different!

Masks – I appreciate some people want to hide their identity and I don’t have a problem with that but something about people wearing masks really freaks me out. Coupled with the fact that what I enjoy most with WAM is watching a girl get gunged. A lot of the enjoyment comes from the reaction on her face. The anticipation through to the reaction of when the gunge hits her wearing a mask means this can’t be seen so for me personally there is no point.

Cleaning up savoury mess – now I personally don’t like savoury mess I can live with other people doing it but don’t ask me to watch it. However I am still traumatised by the clean up of the one savoury mess video I did. A normal cleanup is bad enough and takes hours, this took days to completely clean the pool all the jars and tins and get rid of the awful smell. On top of that the pool got ripped and I got a cold shower of backsplashed, water, greasy mayo and coleslaw when I hosed the pool. Never ever ever again!

Ducking girls – When a girl hides her face from gunge or a pie or puts her hands up to stop herself getting messy = turn off. It doesn’t help either if the producer keeps telling her to look up etc. If you want her to do something then tell her before the camera starts rolling!

Girls escaping clean – some producers let a girl go home without getting messy. To me this is just not on!
