There is supposedly a pie fight on the Lucy Show. This was Lucille Balls second TV show after I Love Lucy, but before Here's Lucy. The episode was called "Lucy enters a baking contest", and was broadcast in 1964. It was the last episode written by her old writing crew from her I Love Lucy days. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this? I could only find a 50 second clip from this episode on Youtube, and unfortunately it was not of the pie fight. Could be a long lost forgotten scene. I don't even remember " The Lucy Show".
It figures! Back in those days it was almost always the guy who got it. These days it seems as though the tide has turned, and more women are on the receiving end.

I remember how disappointed I was seeing it when I was a kid. I think it has to be the most pies left unused in a scene that involved a pie in the face.

I think that was what got a lot of us older pie enthusiasts into this whole WAM pie thing - the female was always above getting pied. It seemed to be considered to be inappropriate or many of the women stars were unwilling to subject themselves to a pie. Here's to change!
