I know this is a blast from the past, but I always wondered what the story was for those videos. They never seemed WAM-themed; more like someone was filming a short film or something. Anyone on here know?
Back in the early 2000s, the producer of those wanted to make lighthearted videos after the tragedy of 9/11, so he worked with several of his friends and they make comedy-improv shorts which would tackle a given subject per episode in various comedy skits which were loosely tied together.
They copiously used pies and slime throughout the run of the show.
The creator was invited to this forum by Wam Jake, who had non-creepily reached out to him*, he then posted here for a couple years but eventually disappeared and there haven't been any new Oxnard Files made in probably 13 years. Their last video I can remember was an initiation of three new cast members, who they pied and slimed the shit out of (two were girls), which I guess kind of sucks for them to get initiated and then >>nothing<<
This part my memory is less sure of, but I think the man in charge of it (who never said they were a wammer, but did post here and my guess might have had some interest in it), he'd mentioned that he had a bit of a falling out with some of the female cast members, his cute female co-host at least (although I'm not sure I'm sure there). It might have been political, he seemed more right leaning, so if they weren't friends then, in a post-Trump political climate, they probably are not now.
Damn Trump, he's done it again.
* note: this was in a more innocent era for WAM. The only time we'd been outted was by Marty Penn, or at least he'd claimed to had called the producers of Slime Time Live to warn them about Lovingway. Our community hadn't yet seen the likes of Running Rebel, at least not out in full psycho "What the Fuck" mode, so approaching someone who was potentially a non-wammer and speaking to them about our fetish wasn't as creepy as it might come off here in 2017 in our post-Running Rebel "Let's leave sick comments on a 13 year old kid's youtube video" world.
It must have been respectful enough, the creator took interest in our interest enough to communicate directly with us at the end of the day. I've told Jake was a very verbose, intelligent and often misunderstood gentleman of the highest order, so there is that as well. A keen mind and a simply delightful sense of humor, too.
It's also a little known fact that he was the first to take pause at the rampant videos of child WAM (which was often uploaded by a lewd British outsider, the before-mentioned Marty Penn), and prior to his raising the question, this had been acceptable (and of course MessMaster deserves great respect for leading the charge to clean up the community in that regard, once the issue had been raised).
If you go to theoxnardfiles.com in the internet archive it gives a rather odd picture. In late 2007 the usual content disappeared and was replaced by stuff about near death experiences, the paranormal and Gnosticism.
By 2008 it had gone into some sort of conspiracy ranting:
"We want to awaken as many people as possible and bring them to the realization that our society, in its current form, is not sustainable and will inevitably end. We aren't here to reach the people that already know this...We are here to try and reach those that are so deluded by the lies of those in charge of everything that they are blind to the fact that they are slaves...Whether you agree or disagree doesn't really matter. If we have gotten you to think, then you have already begun the process of awakening and that is the goal here. Awakening leads to freedom...We prefer to use many different mediums such as video, written and photographic essays, and the Internet and we also love to try out different styles and genres. We aren't doing this for money or fame and we use our own time, equipment, and resources. We just want to get our message out there... "
I miss the days where you could invite outsiders to the UMD and it felt more like a community gathered around a common quirk, and less like Porn Central. Of course the fetish was a lot less sexualized then too.
