Something we don't often see this far south - this is the view tonight from the top floor of the East Wing, looking north across Langstonedale Chase in North Yorkshire. Normally in the UK if you want to see the Aurora, you have to travel four hundred miles north of here, up to Inverness and beyond. But tonight, thanks to a particularly powerful blast of the solar wind, apparently the lights can be seen all the way down to Devon!
