In 1994 I decided to embark on a new series of feature film length scripted videos with my production partner Mark Yas of the Aquatapes site. As we were both called Mark we called this series MarkII Productions.
The Haunting / The Drowner was shot in 1995 but then the film went unreleased and unseen for the next 20 years. because after 1995 my partner who did all our editing was no longer able to edit for me, because he was very busy working on his other video projects. He also held all the master tapes so for many years I was unable to get him to release the masters to me, and I was not trained in video editing to do post production work myself. Finally, by 2015 I was able to get the master tapes back and by then I had trained myself how to do video editing work, so I released this film in 2015, but by then it was like offering stale bread because now we were in the digital HD era and all the master tapes were only in SD 480p quality.
Now in 2025 I have gotten around to upscaling the original footage to full HD quality and have just posted the HD enhanced version on The Megastore site.
