I miss the times of many girls take pies in the face.
Although I still find countless examples of many girls take pies in the face.
Some are even pretty girls take pies in the face.
Mostly I miss rendering to the same resolution as the original clips.
4Rich - 480p saves space on the ol' hard drive...do you really need full HD to 'achieve the effect" you need?...do you watch wam videos on a 5 foot flat screen when "at home"...?
Remeber the "good ol' days" (i.e., the 'glorious past') of lo-res VHS (multiple generations of copies)...and we were HAPPY...?
C'mon man, you of all people should know this! I watch on a computer monitor and yes, I can absolutely tell the difference. You're lowering the resolution, the pixels, AND the bit rate by a significant amount. It's a pretty obvious change between 480p and 720p. (I'll admit that 720p vs. 1080p doesn't look much different, depending on bit rate. Until very recently, I rendered all my clips at 720p just for that reason. You can "blow up" 720p with a decent bit rate and it still looks good.)
Case in point: Chega/Conexao has done shows where they "forgot" to upload the HD version (especially early on), and the difference is noticeable. A shame because most of the good Sabrina pies from early on were lo-res only. (360p, actually. High bitrate, but still.)
I can also tell the difference when some of these channels upload a show like EEG in 720p, but the source was clearly 480p or 360p and they just wanted to offer it "in HD." It looks pixelated and fuzzy. When you watch it "half-sized" it looks normal again.
In Rogerio's case, he never renders higher than 480p even if the source was 1080p. And that's fine if your computer can't do any better than that without crashing... But perhaps starting an all-clips channel might require a system upgrade at some point? That's my point here.
95% of his clips I already have in the same or better quality, as they're recycled. And the ones that are "new to me" I unfortunately have to hunt down anyway, just to confirm there's not a better-quality original out there. (And surprisingly, the "girl takes pie in face" description doesn't help in that hunt...)

To continue the metaphor then: You have two friends. One says, "Hey, let's watch The Godfather at my house tonight!" You go over, and he has a 60-inch HD TV and the 4K BluRay of Godfather in 5.1 surround. It's spectacular.
The next week, your other friend says, "Hey, let's watch The Godfather II at MY house tonight!" You go over, and he has a VCR hooked up to a 13-inch CRT. Oh, and then every day for the next year, he keeps begging you to watch more movies on his VCR-and-CRT combo. 80% of the time it is the same movie you just watched at your BluRay-and-flatscreen friend's house the night before.
How much grief do you give your second friend for the rest of his life? That's how much grief I can give Rogerio.
Rich....of course, of course...I understand the visual difference (esp. when you've been conditioned to the higher quality resolution)....and I prefer 720 as these are a bit smaller in size...I was merely making an excuse for Rogerio (presumed lack of space on hard drive)... he may have a small notebook lap top (like me) and chooses to compromise quality (which at 480 is still better than VHS or even hi-8mm; it's about comparable to mini-DV, imo) for volume of saved material...although, with the cloud and video channels, one could simply off-load old files...
The rest was me trying to me humorously nostalgic...
....but since you created the neighbor scenario...I gotta say: I would not watch wam with either of them 'cause I like to keep my erotica viewing "private"...
Also: for some reason, I seldom watch wam material any more (perhaps because I no longer produce it?)...but even when I did, I rarely watched material except if: 1] it was my own, 2] an occasional great clip from some other producer, 3] an occasional clip from tv that I hadn't seen before or only seen once (after many years or decades (but one or two viewings was plenty for me)...
