I'd always wondered who played Norm's wife: It's a part that could have been covered by a writer, a producer or a crew member. Back in 1986, we didn't have IMDB, but I just checked now: "Norm's wife, Vera Peterson, is played by George Wendt's actual wife, Bernadette Birkett."
