While Google throws up a number of results, I thought the collective wisdom here might prove more enlightening.
Me and Mrs FSBillie are looking to organise a nice weekend away to somewhere with a private pool. While we're not looking for the very cheapest option, the 12-bedroom country homes I've found for hire are a little beyond our means.
So, does anybody know of a good value venue? There are plenty of Airbnb options, of course, but knowing which have private rather than shared pools is tricky, so any personal experience would be appreciated.
AirBNB combined with satellite view and street view on Google Maps should give you a good indication of the privacy element. You can also try the equivalents from Bing maps, for more imagery. Just look for a pool in a private garden, preferably with high fences!
I haven't tried this in the UK, but it certainly helped when finding a place in France once.
