I'd guess the old gunge tanks have been dismantled by now as there isn't any reason to have kept them since gunge on tv started to decline in the mid 2000's. Gunge has sort of come back again on uk tv but nothing like how it used to be sadly. It would be nice to think they kept them in a warehouse somewhere but I highly doubt it.
The Mostwam gunge tank is the original one from Noel's Saturday Roadshow (The NHP proto predecessor 1988-90). It was very possibly also the tank used in the first series of NHP and 'dressed' to match the set 18th century mansion style set.
I've seen it close up and (until recently) it still had its BBC property sticker attached. It's quite a heavy, solid steel framed fabrication lined with clear Perspex (not the original panels as they cracked through the wear and tear of touring with Gunjee and were replaced)
Leon told me he had it modified a few years back so it could be dismantled for transportation to events (it's been cut round the middle and additional steel bars have been fabricated so the two halves can be bolted together. There is also some speculation that the tank part (which is detachable and comprises the mechanical cistern style release valve) was used on a winch for some of the later overhead gungings on NHP (There is evidence of a provision to be suspended by additional holes having been drilled into it.

Fun question: Whatever happened to Gunjee? Is it still in existence doing events?

No. But no big deal. Those involved moved on. Life changes etc. Not my story to tell you, though.
The surviving half is Mostwam - they've not done too badly for themselves, have they!
This is an old site featuring 10 year old material.
Gunjee is finished. That site might well have been its last incarnation.
They don't take the tank out on the road anymore! You can ask Leon or Lisa Moomin if you don't believe me. Honest, guv!
If you want to play in the tank you can book a session by contacting Lisa or Charlotte at Mostwam (when everything is back to normal). They'll be happy to give you a quote.

Yeah would have been suprised if they had decided to start going out again! Just odd how the foampartypeople website keeps adding new (well old) videos to it and also appears to offer a streaming option
