Here's another cool offering for the UMD photo archive.
You would think that after her incident 'working' the peat bog at Camp MPV, that Summer would have learned her lesson. Or maybe she thought that bubbling mud can't be dangerous. In any case, she was very eager to get the bubbles going again. She wasn't sure what the problem was but found out very quickly that the mud was just too thick. Armed with a water pipe and a power assisted mixing tool, she set out to make the clay nice and soupy - not just right for bubbles, but also for sinking deep. And that would be *really* deep. This is a lengthy scene that features a lot of physical activity by Summer (always nice) and a late shift in emotion from playful to terrorized.
Got this scene a while back and I still love it. More a playful workout and wallow than a saucy or perilous one, with the right amount of clothing staying on and enough resurfacing to show off her clay-covered bits.
It's too bad the "working the clay pit" series was so short lived. Would have loved to see other girls in this situation.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
The vast majority of our scenes were cooked up right before they were shot - often working off of some templates that we developed over the years.
The 'stirring the pit' idea isn't exactly original. But in this case, the drill motor plus plaster paddle method was preferred. And it required some muscle. So somewhere between needing to fluff that area and find something for Summer to do, this scene was put together.

I agree, the girls, and especially Summer, were great choice for scenes like this, like watching fit girls hard at work as they get progressively muddier.
I brought it up because it reminded me of the start of an old Rob Blaine scene from Messyfun, "Go Ahead, Make My Mudpit". It's pretty rare to find the maintenance aspect of mudpit management incorporated into a scene, so scenarios like these are a nice change of pace. The soft and sticky clay used in later productions were really well mixed and I can see why.
