I've seen some photos on here and elsewhere of someone kneeling or sitting in gunge, and them taking their hands and scooping up the gunge, and stretching it to cover their head. I've seen two different creators on UMD, and asked both of them what they used, but they preferred not to share the recipe.
So, I'm crowd sourcing it. I've tried glue & borax, thinking that might be thicker, but it's not really stretchyit'll eventually snap. I've also tried a bit of JLube (inc. mixing glue or cake batter), with limited results. Ideally, I'd like it to be colored, or at least more opaque than JLube.
J-lube or School glue + liquid slime solution. The slime solution is sold pretty much everywhere they sell elmer's glue. You can just Google the words "liquid slime solution" and it'll show you what you're looking for, multiple brands sell it now. People used to use contact lens solution and some other ingredient, but now they just sell the solution specifically for making slime.
You can use both the clear school glue (if you like transparent gunge) or the classic white stuff (for opaque gunge). Add a little slime solution to the glue at a time, mix, and repeat until you got the desired consistency
As for color, paint works good. I like to mix a whole container of tempera paint powder into my glue, then add the slime solution. But you can use liquid paint too. There's actually this neon paint they sell in 1$ bags at Walmart that weirdly has the same effect on glue as slime solution, so you might actually be able to save some money by using that instead
I haven't personally used j-lube because I am into extreme wam and I love feeling like I'm stuck in a pit of stickiness that is slowly drying and making it hard to move. It still washes off surprisingly easy though, even if it dries
MessySupplies VIVI Extreme might be the one to scratch your itch.
I use a thicker mix than the standard recipe; about 6-7 Liters per 10L pack. The result is an incredibly thick slime that stretches out and coils into ropes. In the bucket it feels fast flowing and ripples like water, out of the bucket it's a whole different beast with a mind of it's own.
