Hey everyone.

I've finally gotten around to writing a new story based in part on a messy dream I had. The first draft is finished and I need to go through and edit it now. Only issue is that it's about 10,000 words at the moment or about 18 pages. It might be a bit longer by the time I'm finished.

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a word limit for posting on here.

Technically, I don't know about story length... I have done longer stories and not hit a limit, however, it may be worth splitting it up, if it suits it.

People are different, I've written a lot on a number of topics (some even clean, darn it ) and in this arena, people mostly enjoy shorter elements, potentially building into a longer story.

However, your story looks interesting... I look forward to reading it... However, you post it!

First I don't know if there is a limit on here for posting a story length.
Second rom a personal point of view a story can be long if I don't make to the end I will pick right back up where I left off. With that being said if your story does have natural breaks those would be good spots to end it with a to be continued. I have read many stories across different websites that have many parts and it doesn't bother me. Just don't leave us hanging. Also if you do decide to break it into parts don't be afraid to work on a part, post it then continue with next part and post a few days later.

Thanks everyone. Useful advice. Once I've finished the first edit I'll try and break it down into parts. Is there anywhere I'd be able to publish it as one complete story that anyone knows about?

Thanks. That's a really interesting idea. I'll have a look into it. I don't if there's much of a market for it though. Could be fun to find out.
