It does take the tongue-in-cheek misogyny and sexual excess implied in 80s hair metal to its logical, albeit disgusting, end.

Steel Panther is one of the funniest groups out there right now, and they can actually play really well. Their sense of humor might not be for everyone, but there are plenty of people out there, myself included, who think they're funny as hell.

I watchd the video, and I thought it was alright. Certainly no different than the Slimewave website. Just cos it isn't one person's cup of tea doesn't mean "it doesn't belong anywhere".

Eh, some of their stuff is funny. That video was mostly gross though. Even rationalizing what I knew the "jizz" really was, I still couldn't get past it.

I always figured The Darkness were enough "funny cock rock" to go around for a while.

The Darkness are more of an homage to '80s hair metal, while Steel Panther are a parody of it. I love both though!

Speaking of The Darkness, they had an album come out a few years ago called Hot Cakes. The cover for it is pretty beautiful!

Yup. That cover definitely owed a lot to the Ohio Players albums, mixed with the early Cars albums.
