I have had people asking me about selling videos and unfortunately I have been too busy with school to edit any of the footage. On the plus side, I did look through some of the footage from our second messy weekend and pulled out a few highlights.
The blue sparkly dress was the 1st mess of our second messy weekend. It started with some shoe filling. Janet wore shoes that had a pattern of holes in them that the pudding oozed out nicely. It was also our first time using flour based slime. If you listen closely you’ll hear Janet ask, “It’s not cold, is it?” because she didn’t know what to expect from this new concoction. This video is pretty representative of my amateur shaky camera work. Also included is a clip of after the sliming to give a “behind the scenes” type glimpse. Not sure what impression our photo sets have given but our messes tend to be slow and deliberate with lots of pausing for said still pictures.
The coral dress was our second messing of that weekend. That session had a bit of everything; caking, shoe filling, pieing, sliming, etc. A generally good over all messing. The first pie was self-inflicted. Note: Janet was already covered in cake by the time the pies were broken out. And the pies weren’t limited to just the face!
The black ball gown was the grande finale of that weekend. It was also a test of Janet’s tolerance for savory foods during the later part of that messing. We used a few real fruit pies that time. The first one was cherry. We also experimented with different colors of slime, here’s a clip of the pink.
The video entitled “Trials and Tribulations” gives a glimpse of the buffoonery (mostly mine) that goes on during our sploshing sessions. Here you will see me dropping the new digital camera that replaced the one I broke during a muddy session. This as well as the other clips are pretty representative of the unprofessional conditions we work under by shooting outdoors in the countryside: less than ideal lighting, bugs flying by, chainsaws buzzing, roosters crowing, guns shooting, motorcycles rumbling… We have a lot of fun though!
There were a few more messes that weekend but I don’t have time to sort through more video at the moment. When I do, I’m sure I will pull out some more highlights.
