Just stumbled upon a scene from ep. 1 ("A Touch of Murder") of 1976 BBC show "I, Claudius" in which Sian Phillips (playing Livia, the wife of Augustus - the 1st Roman Emperor) gets a chunk of mud thrown in the face by an angry mob.
I couldn't find any mentions of the scene anywhere, and although it's quite short and not terribly great mess, I still found it a bit strange, considering how old and famous the show is.
The actress, Sian Phillips, also played Gaius Helen Mohiam in David Lynch's Dune (1984), so you might have seen her recently in various clips in relation to the new 2021 Dune movie.
