Never broached the topic of WAM/mess/pies with my partner, but have always wondered about it. I love the idea of him slamming a pie into my face!
Is it wise to ever broach this with him, given that if he was into it too I would probably know by now (and the chances are slim)? And if I was to broach it, how would I even start? Or is it not worth risking my relationship over?

The easiest way to start the conversation is introduce a can of whipped cream into the bedroom or even hotter whipped creamed blow job in the kitchen. Then over time introduce other food items into sex play which can eventually expand in volume of mess used. Your partner will either enjoy each step of the way or may opt out of messy play thus you'll know what his willingness and desires are or not.
Yes v. no? That has to be your decision. Not having a partner, I think it depends on how strong your WAM drive is - and also your level of intimacy with your partner. For me, personally, once I do partner (never say never, right?), I would want him to be able to help facilitate all my sexual kinks - of which wam is one - in the same way that I would want to please him. However, in the end, it's your decision and you both have to live with it for the duration of your relationship.
If you decide yes, I agree that the can of whipped cream is a great starter... If you also focus on wet look, pulling him into the shower might be a private way to get the conversation started....

I felt the same way. My wife is very "vanilla." To be fun and spice things up I made coupons and also a "raffle" for one Friday night after work. 3 tickets each for foot massage, shoulder massage, oral sex, watching a movie etc and pieing me. She could pick 6 tickets to place in the raffle and she got to draw 3. I later paid attention to which ones she had put in (showing interest). I be was happy one was hitting me with a pie. It was a blast. Now she does it when I ask and we laugh tons. I wouldn't say she will ever initiate it, but I can live with that.
