So, I used to be really active here but have been away for a while. Came across some old material that brought me back. I just found MessyCouple and their amazing content and they said they use a mixture of shaving cream, water, and J-lube. Also, a producer here recommended a mixture between shaving cream and pancake syrup that makes it sticky and stringy. Both sound intriguing to me.
However, I don't like the smell of shaving cream. I might be able to get past that, but for those of you who use shaving cream pies or shaving cream+water type slimes, doesn't it irritate your eyes? I just can't imagine that it's as nice as cool whip. Is this just a preference thing? Are there brands or types of shaving creams that are recommended for this?
I'm open to trying some new mess, but ultimately want to check here first to see if any producers ever have models complain about it, or if any umd members here view it as an acquired taste kind of thing.
I'm sure others will be long if I'm not first in line. I use barbosal brand. Extra thick or regular works fine. I can say I've never had any eye irritation with that brand. I've been pretty covered in it before. I like it because its easy, plain and simple. Easy prep, and easy clean up. I rather have coolwhip and pudding and cake batter, but it takes work and planning.
I enjoy the feeling of shaving cream and it's a very cheap way to experience a huge amount of "mess". But the look of it does nothing for me and I never actually feel like I'm messy, which is part of the kink for me. I also don't like that it doesn't taste good and that it smells like soap. It definitely can be irritating to your eyes and I also learned the hard way that it doesn't mix with lady parts.
The few times I played with shaving cream and shaving cream slime, I enjoyed it tactilely and as an experience. You can easily create a gigantic pie with even one can of SC or a huge bucket of slime. SC coats really well and stays fluffy for a long time. If you enjoy the feeling of being really and totally covered, it achieves that in a way that's more difficult with other substances.
Fetish-wise, I have to say shaving cream doesn't really do it for me. I find cool whip to be superior in pretty much every way (except price and clean up). Things like the smell, the taste, the weight, and the actual messiness are all key parts of what turn me on that I find missing with SC. But I do think it's a matter of preference and that they're really two totally different things.
I read somewhere else that most shaving foams seemed to have some kind of irritant and that Tesco own brand bargain brand was actually the most user friendly and didn't sting the eyes. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get any to find out for myself.
From my own experience I tried a shaving cream that had aloe vera in it and that was a horrendous couple of hours until my eyes settled down and the sting went away. Since then I have stayed away from pieing myself, so I shall try some of the alternatives when I have time.
Lately Target has started selling their own brand of Smartly shaving cream for $1/can. They smell FAR better than Barbasol or Gillette, the scents are Rain, Blossom, and a few others that escape my memory at the moment. But yeah, they smell far more soapy than grandfathery, which is a pretty big deal in my opinion. The price point can't be beaten either. I will attest however, that they don't seem to be as rich as the aforementioned brands. But hey, you get what you pay for.
Also, if you can find the lemon-lime scented Gillette Foamy shave cream, it's my personal all time favorite. Super thick, smells great, doesn't seem to sting as much as the more "masculine" scents. And it isn't the end of the world if you get a bit in your mouth.
Lemon-Lime shaving cream is fabulous and my preference. You can't beat it for a public scene and ease of clean-up.
Also, great prank is telling people it's lemon line and then not believing it's true. Then ask them to smell it off a squirt on your fingers. Almost everyone gets a nose tap and give a rueful smile and says, "I should've known that would happen..."
Has anyone here tried avalanche foam ? It has the consistency of shaving foam , doesn't sting and cones out of the can very fast and in huge quantities . Also comes in yellow and white . I got mine from a company called messy supplies in the Uk . Amazing coverage and for filling panties to the brim and then some.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw it on their site and was super intrigued. Then super let down when I saw they don't ship here. Our next pie session will likely be with their pie foam mix. I love that it's already colored. As for the slimes they sell, it may actually be cheaper to buy cake mix here and do it myself. Wish I lived in the UK sometimes. WAM seems way more mainstream there. Though I wouldn't be into the savory stuff at all.
Being a guy who actually shaves a couple times a week with shaving cream (but haven't wammed with it yet) it doesn't irritate my eyes too badly the one time I accidentally got it in there, the burn from head and shoulders shampoo is far worse.

By volume, Messysupplies MS Gunge is actually comparable in price, and often cheaper than cake batter. 10 boxes sounds like a lot, but you MIGHT get a gallon and a half out of that if you're lucky. One packet of their gunge makes ~2.5 gallons of gunge in nearly a heartbeat. Plus it's pre-colored. Admittedly, cake batter tastes better, but for the "lazy" mess fan, a few cans of shaving cream and a bucket of MS Gunge can be your best friend. Plus they're as compact as possible and completely innocuous in their own respect. 20+ boxes of cake batter tends to raise eyebrows when you're going through airport security.
I'm not trying to get through airport security. Lol. I buy from the store and bring it home. With that said, I never buy more than 6 boxes of cake mix at a time. And I use three boxes per bowl of slime. With some of my biggest sessions, I've maybe made 6-7 bowls of slime. So sometimes it takes multiple trips to multiple stores to buy what I need without arousing suspicion.
But whipped cream is expensive by the tub. Shaving cream *might* be better. But we'll see.
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned this yet. If you leave shaving cream out in the open for an hour, the sting and scent will both be much reduced.
What was mentioned is the airiness of SC and by mixing in something like pancake syrup, you can make it heavier and stringier - closer to whipped cream consistency. Even water will make it heavier and 'wetter' but it is very hard to mix, as water settles to the bottom and the SC stays on top.
