Weather was good today so went out to scout out a place that I heard has good deep tidal mud. I arrived about a couple hours before low tide and saw some large exposed areas across a small creek that looked like they could have the deep mud I heard about. Didn't have proper gear with me and there were quite a few other people around, so just tested out the mud consistency by the creekside which was a bit sandy but already quite sticky and soft underneath. I heard there's much better mud near the treeline area way back in the picture, could take a long time to get to that point though. Hoping to pass by again one day to try the spot out.

That is true, this was at the Intracoastal Waterway near Jacksonville FL.
