Totally amazing video. It was cute, genuinely funny, and I'm in love with Nara. The frosting pies sat out so well against her black hair and cute outfit... and the sliming was done really well too. She took it like a champ and sold her character really well.
Needless to say, I REALLY hope Nara come back for more... Especially if she does a slime first video... hint, hint
Glad you liked it so much! It was tricky with Nara because she was a bit sensitive to the mess after the first scene of the day. I actually almost didn't book her when she mentioned having a "sensitive nose" over email. If you watch the bonus footage from the bear scene, you'll see there was like 3 pies that came in too hard for her, the last one forcing me to apologize profusely! But glad we went for it anyway. She was very pleasant to work with, but you can tell she was just grinning and bearing it by that huge chunky chocolate sliming in the end I gues you can say she was a bit eager to clean up and get out the door after 4 hours of pies and slime! Considering she's an out-of-towner that was making a rare trip to NYC (I think she was flown in by another photographer), I'm guessing you probably won't see her again
Ah I couldn't quite make that out; the chunky texture of the chocolate slime kind of hid her face. It is a shame to hear she was eager to finish and go- if it was the case, she certainly hid it well in her character and performance.
I seem to recall Noise booking Kayla for a Gungegirls shoot ages ago. I think it must have been her first time with a WAM shoot, because I recall her looking very unenthusiastic about being slimed... Fast-forward 8 or 9 years, and she's featuring in gungetank videos fully naked. Go figure.
Maybe I overstated her eagerness is to be done for the day. It's like she was a 9 out of 10 with her energy level going into the day, and she was like a 6.5-7 after an afternoon of being walloped with pies and splattered with slime. That's fair I think. I bet she would shoot again if we were in the same city, but like I said, that's not the case.
