The writer seems both weirdly enlightened (making the connection between slapstick and erotica) and also rather repressed -- both as a young person (but then, who wasn't?) and as an adult...interesting that he says he found custard pie fights "sneaky" (and that he didn't "trust" them), presumably, because they were a "veiled" form of erotica/porn/"spillage" (but he doesn't use the term salirophilia)...also, he starts out referencing/mentioning bukkake, defining it literally, but then not mentioning it's most (gross/disgusting) manifestation at all...and later, he notes Bugsy Malone and (in the context of the essay) connects its sublimated violence with sex/porn....It's just one guy's view/thoughts, but It certainly is an odd (but interesting) one.
