The last couple of times I've tried to post pictures of my pied wife, I am finding my posts here on the "messy female" forum rerouted to the male page, despite the fact that she's female and the only one in the picture. Many of you have seen my posts; they go back years and they all follow a theme: screen captures, different outfits but especially formalwear, you'll only see bits and pieces of me, and you never see my wife's face. I also avoid total coverage--one or two pies at most. Another consistent aspect: I'm straight and my wife is female. In several of the sets I've posted, her femininity is patently obvious, despite the fact that I never show her face and I never will.
I don't understand why this keeps happening, and it makes me hesitant to post pics again if I will always deal with the hassle of it getting redirected incorrectly. Why would anyone do this? Who thinks he knows my wife's gender better than I do? Why would a moderator or someone else move the post? Has anyone else encountered this issue?
When you say "rerouted" do you mean the posts have been moved by an admin after posting, or that they automagically end up in the wrong place when you post them?
Best thing to do is find one of the posts that's in the wrong forum, click the "Report" link, and then select the "Needs Attention" category, and in the text box explain what is happening, and submit it. Those reports go directly to MM so if someone is incorrectly moving posts it can be sorted out. He is a tad busy with stuff at the moment so it may take a few days to get a response, but he does pay attention to everything that gets reported.
Can you post a link to this thread of one of the moved / misrouted ones, so we can see it?
Looks like it was initially posted set to "Male", as there was no sign of a "gender changed from X to Y" note on it, which is what appears when a moderator moves something.
It now has two such updates, I initially changed it to female but then spotted there's a fair bit of you visible in some of them, so I've now set it to coed, which means for anyone without the "strict" setting enabled, it will show up in both the Male and Female versions of the forum.
When you go to post something, there are options you can pick as to the gender of the post - otherwise it defaults to either your gender or the "usually posts about" setting in your profile. When posting, change that to Female (if there's only your wife in the shots) or Coed (if you feature as well, even if just clean). That should hopefully resolve the problem.

Yes, the posts were moved by someone else, I assume an admin, after my posting it in the correct place.
I did report it and never received a reply. I was able to edit it and put it back in the female forum myself, but a half hour later it was moved back to the male forum again and I was so annoyed I deleted the post. Thanks for the advice, though.

Thanks. Remembering to check every possible box is not my strong suit, and default settings give me fits. I definitely admit to sometimes initially posting in the wrong spot, noticing it, and then fixing it myself. Other times, you or another moderator fix it for me and put it in the right place. Thanks!
I've deleted the posts when it has happened, so I don't know if there's a record. I think it first happened once a few years ago, and I took it down without reporting. It happened again a couple weeks ago: I posted pics and double checked they were in the female forum (though it's certainly fair if it ended up in coed if there was enough of me showing) and an hour later it was moved to male. I edited it, changed it back to female, and when I checked again a few hours later it was back in male again. I totally admit I could just be fucking up on the settings and doing this to myself, but in the interest of getting to the bottom of it, I wanted to know if it had happened to anyone else, and of course I knew it would draw a mod/admin's attention.
I'll chalk this up to my bad eyesight--probably something I missed. Thanks for looking into it.
Just wanted to say-- I love your posts. I always click on your posts and never disappointed. However, the last one disappeared before I got a chance to see it (I think your wife was wearing a tie). Would love to see a repost.

Im new here but have messaged the moderators to learn more about how this site works or users who seem to understand where to place things especially if it keeps getting moved around.
