Okay, does anyone else find this to be super relaxing? I'm finding it's an amazing way to relax or take off steam. I just worked sooo much this past week and taking a little slime bath has been the best decompressor I've missed it quite frankly! I wanted to do a swampy themed bath because it's my favorite and I was noooot disappointed haha. I felt like a lil froggie.
In other wam news I finally also bought a mixer attachment to make methylcellulose slime for the first time and I'm soooo excited Any tips are greatly appreciated! I was going to play around with consistencies and I don't really know what to expect! Will it be clear or white without coloring? Something else? Im so curious!
Methylcellulose is clear without coloring. I find it easy to mix if I start with the hottest tap water possible. I wisk in the powder until it's all dissolved. It will be thin. Then I add a couple handfuls of ice and it thickens right up. I'll then thin it with cold water as desired. Good idea to wear a mask when mixing. You don't want to inhale that powder.
If I'm going to color it I use powders from justpigments.com I only use those approved for cosmetic use without restriction. I've never had anything that didn't easily wash off. Have fun!

I've only ever bought it precolored, so I'm not sure! I think it's kind of white translucent, but post some pictures and show us!
I think the easiest way to colour it is by stirring in poster paint powder. Messysupplies have some great videos on their YouTube channel showing you what to expect: https://youtu.be/3_dotnbVAwQ
Love the slime bath pictures
I'm actually kind of hoping it's a weird white / clear haha. Someone suggested water based paints. I have finger paints so I was going to try those
