Hello! My other half has finally agreed to a messy session on New Year's Eve. I haven't had a session in a long time and would usually order powder online. Due to the time of year, I don't think it'll be possible to arrive on time.

I'm looking for recipe ideas to make buckets of green gunge. No food stuff apart from custard and whipped cream for pies.

Wallpaper paste is the best to use. Cheap at Wilkinsons with a squirt of green paint. Always found it safe to use and has a great feel to it.

It's hard to find wallpaper paste without added fungicide though, which always puts me off. If you've got a whole food place nearby they'll probably have Xantham gum which would work.

I've got Xantham gum and green paint. Does anyone have a recipe or method for it?

I've not played around with Xanthan myself (I've been using ready mixed HEC), but what I've seen suggested is 100g powder to 7-10 litres warm water, with some sort of mixing assistance - a hand blender or whatever. Hopefully someone with some experience can tell me if that's way out!

Shaving foam whipped up with water and some colouring looks great and is easy to clean up.
