I've heard of the shaving cream/Kayro syrup mixture and heard it was really sticky?? Did I do something wrong. How much of the syrup is used in comparison to the shaving cream. I'm not sure how people can afford to have a bath full of gunge? Shaving cream is one thing because it's cheap, but oatmeal, nutella, glue slime.... etc. Then there's the clean up. Isn't it a waste of product when you have too much for one person? Most of the stuff you can't even use over again. Most females don't have body/facial hair they have to worry about either. I like thick, smooth, slimy consistency that will stay on my body, just not something that will pull out all my hair. I don't understand either when in the comments section people ask what the substance is that a person is in a picture. I never see a reply unless it's in private. Why so secretive? I thought that was the whole idea of this site is to share pics, videos and recipes? Then when a person does give the recipe, it's only the ingredients, not so much the parts it takes to make it correctly.
I will admit that some people have substances that are secret. Jayce and Ariel have mystery substance, MPV has proprietary oobleck etc. However, you will find a lot of people are more than willing to share. I'm reminded of a recent forum from Mr. MG saying to specifically avoid 'pound cake' mix as it's extra gluteny.
As for what you're looking for, I have no idea, I've never used those ingredients. Maybe check out the wiki https://umd.net/wiki as well for ideas?
Furthermore, if someone responds and it's not with ratios, ml, kg, pounds, inches and whatever, ask them for further information.
I think a lot of it, too is that people either have very specific desires for their substance and/or never bother to measure exactly what they did. I make an amazing (to me) creamy, clay mud with bentonite and old mill ball clay. Never really bothered to measure it... just know if I want more volume, add bentonite... more color / coverage, add ball clay.
Likewise, your karo / shaving cream... do you want it light / fluffy and a little sticky? ...sounds like heavy on the shaving cream with a little karo thrown in. Conversely, if you want it heavy, sticky, with a little foam, go heavy on the karo (channeling my inner Devo), whip it good, and add a little shaving cream for foam. If you actually want to consider eating it, maybe substitute egg white meringue for the shaving cream.
Overall, it's not a wedding cake for 1000 people, so feel free to discuss and likely someone will come up with an approximate recipe... then the experimenting is half the fun.
Trial and error, I mostly succeed in error and I'll be dams if I can remember what I did. , Mud/Clay has been by far the easiest. Our slime is 10 cans shave cream, 1 gal of school glue, 2 bottles of contact solution. Add borax to adjust consistency. Hair can be an issue in the glue slime, I'll wear a latex hood and cover the ears too. Full submersion. I found its a lot of prep time and a small amount of time enjoying it. But We still do it
I started out with a basic idea, then worked backwards. What do I want my slime to look like?
From there, thought about various foodstuffs which would give the desired effect and reverse engineered a formula through trial and error. You can tell I had no idea what I was doing when I first started making Splatter Island. I now have some kind of clue.
