All Summer Andrea had been talking about pulling a dead tree out of the stream. Today she eventually got around to the job. It was a real job, and it did need doing, but I could tell from the moment I saw what she was wearing that the job would soon turn into fun. Without being prompted she strode into the kitchen wearing her PVC jodhpurs and her pink Aquafleece, she had knee-high neoprene socks on, long blue PVC gloves, and a 1-piece yellow PVC suit with a chest-high waterproof gusset. She had rubber bands fastened tightly around her ankles and two more around her wrists, effectively sealing the suit to her waterproof socks and gloves. Then she put her new fluorescent Pros waders on over the suit and pulled them up as high as they could possibly go. She claims that she wore all of this kit so that she did not get wet when winching-out the tree with the quad, but when she waded into the stream it was like watching a kid in a sweet shop!!
Thank you so much to the UMD Member who donated these waders to Andrea - you know who you are, and Andrea is very grateful to you. This set of photos is dedicated to you!
