I was recently at a parade that had a group of clowns in it. One male clown had a pie and was gesturing to various people on the sidelines that he was about to throw a pie at them. He gestured to me, and I said "Oh yeah!" He threw the pie, but it turned out that it was a fake pie attached to several feet of elastic cord! So, the pie would fly several feet, but then the clown would pull it back! Ha!

That was a great gag, and he definitely fooled me. I watched him do this to several others along the parade route, and everyone was fooled, and they all laughed.

The interesting part of this was that I was really excited to possibly get a pie in the face in front a crowd of strangers. I didn't expect that!
