they seem to be speaking portuguese. i can only understand a fraction of it.

Always loved this scene, particularly all the giggling and pointing. They do cheat and use the same scene a couple of times, sometimes close up, sometimes different angle.

This is like the Patient Zero of messy bits on this soap opera. Not only do they show the same clip from multiple angles here (notice how the eye wipe bit appears 3 different times), but the identical clip pops over and over as a "flashback" over the course of the show.

If I had to guess, this is similar to Carrie... minus the telekenesis and killing people. The lead actress carries this humiliation around for the rest of her life, causing her to throw cakes and pies at the rest of the cast periodically. (I assume... My Portuguese is rusty.)

But the show's over now... And a bunch of people got hit with pies and cakes during its run (including this same actress numerous times), so I'm inclined to believe that's true.

Chocolate com Pimenta is eventually aired over and over again at Globo.

Not a soup opera guy myself, but the plot involves a family who owned a bakery (the slimed girl's family) and her rivalry with the other main female character. They fight over the love of the main male character, which by the way is a wealthy and good-looking guy (pretty standard crap for soup operas around here).

As a soup opera that aired at 7 PM (almost sure of it), the authors usually added some comedy/slapstick humor in it for the families.

Some 7PM brazilian soup operas had these pie/cake scenes. There's a guy at Globo who works on the production of them who seems to be a fan of slapstcik comedy, making it easier for scenes like these to be included.

By the way: slimed girl's Mariana Ximenes (pretty cute and hot) and the other one is Priscila Fantin (also hot, but I prefer Ximenes).

Yup, Ximenes is like the MVP of Brazillian actresses getting messy in the 21st century.
Similar to how Xena was in the 1990s.

Someone needs to just fly to Brazil and track down all the hotties with last names starting with X, since there seems to be an excellent chance they'll enjoy getting pied.
