I've been writing Wam stories for my own enjoyment for about 20 years now, and 20 years of practice is long enough to get half-decent at something. So I've been thinking about sharing them on a very reasonably-priced Patreon.
Obviously, there's a ton of hot, free WamFic on this very forum, and elsewhere - I've enjoyed lots of it! It's hard to compete with free.
But there are some WamFic Patreons going, self-published novels, and writers taking commissions, so I don't think it's a dead-end. I'm also an editor and print designer in my day job, so I know how to make the written word look sexy. No typos to break your immersion, good story structure, pleasing design, and (I hope) witty, concise, inventive writing. How do you compete with free? With quality.
I guess I have one question - *would the sales pitch below tempt you to subscribe for $5 a month?*
The "Free Taste" and "Instant Access" content is all written, but it takes some effort to turn these into nice-looking files that you can read on your tablet in private moments. (If there's enough interest, the "Free Taste" will definitely become reality!).
Even 10 Patrons would be a great little side-hustle. And it might well get spent on Wam content, keeping the money in the community.
Anyway, here's the pitch.
===About CowboyWriter
A decade-long archive of carefully-crafted erotic tales about pretty ladies and handsome chaps getting sloppy, silly, and sexy.
The vibe is light-hearted - think colourful, madcap, slapstick gameshow, rather than gross humiliation. Though that doesn't mean things won't get steamy! I do write some clothed WAM content, but mostly these stories involve lots of naked mess and gooey fucking.
This is total cheesecake, aimed at folks attracted to the feminine. You'll meet a ton of hot babes who are horny for gunge (and each other), some lucky, strapping lads who get to join in the fun, and some slime-loving characters who might fit neither description exactly.
You'll get a complete shorter story, or a nice fat chapter of a longer story, every fortnight. Everything will be in easy-access, nicely-designed PDFs, not scattered across Patreon posts.
The main story setting is GungeWorld - a WAM studio with a seemingly infinite budget and an incredible knack for engineering messy machines. I've also been exploring fanfic worlds, including a long, elaborate tale set in the Street Fighter universe.
Let's be honest - we know this whole shebang ain't exactly PC, and objectification and humiliation are part and parcel. But I do try to be inclusive in my writing, with a diverse cast of well-rounded characters. And I don't touch on anything less consensual than you'd see in domination play - the cast might get (frequently) tricked into a gunging (or several), but they always signed up for it, and I'm not having fun as a writer if my characters aren't.
Anyway, that's more than enough of me justifying my existence. Hope you enjoy the messy, kinky madness as much as I've enjoyed creating it.

If you got this far, thanks for reading! It's a bit of a scary thing to post about your private fiction. I hope there's a bit of interest, but I'll keep writing anyway.
Hoping this gets some more replies - a bit of a vested interest, for obvious reasons.
I don't have much of value to add to the conversation, though. Trying to monetise this hobby is something I've thought about but haven't come up with much. I don't know if this is the solution, either, but I do hope you find out.
Honest opinion: possibly. $5 a month seems fair for regular fortnightly updates. Your description of your writing style ticks the right boxes for me so I'd definitely sign up for a trial period at least. Good luck
I'm reassured that it's not a completely terrible idea. Whether it ends up being Patreon or something else, I'll certainly be getting some of these stories to you - and there will definitely be plenty of free content. (Least I can do considering how much I've enjoyed free Wam fic from the community!)
I'll post again when I've got some free and preview stories up to the level of polish I'm aiming for. Hope you'll enjoy.
Just my 2 cents here, but I would rather buy something like this as a one time separate purchase per book, as I have purchases 4 or 5 books off of Amazon this way. If I subscribed as per monthly, on a boring night or two, I would probably read every story you haveleading nothing for me to look forward to next month. Buy heywhat the hell do I knowI'm just an old fat man who likes warm chocolate & oatmeal on my tiny little peepee!
One thing I recently learned about things like Patreon is that it's typically good for people who already have an audience, rather than for people looking to grow one. For example, a lot of video essayists on youtube use it to better monetise their content: people who already watch the essays and pay nothing can choose to "give back" to the content creator in return for some (I think) quite minimal benefits. This is one of the things that has put me off that particular model, as our chosen niche is especially niche.
Although, having said that, I get more views on Literotica (where I have to tag stories with vague categories like "fetish") than I do on UMD or my own page, so... *big shrug*
One other thing that a commentor above mentioned: there's always amazon or other self publishing routes. This seems easier to me, but possibly less lucrative as it's so easy to get lost in all the noise (and Amazon takes quite a hefty slice).

I'd be interested in supporting your stories and art
Interesting about Patreon Vs standalone publishing. I've been editing and typesetting House of Mirrors this weekend, I think it would make a strong download, though it might have to be free (as the characters are copyright). But it might be a good place to start instead of rushing towards a long term commitment to regular content. I could compile shorter stories into collections for example, and those would be non-copyright.
Think I have a lot to learn and consider, lots of options to explore, and I've been looking up advice from elsewhere. Progress, though! Hope to share some hot stuff with you soon.
